Adistec, a leading value-added distributor of IT solutions across Latin America and the Caribbean, today announced at Omnissa ONE 2026 a strategic distribution agreement with IGEL®, a global software company delivering the IGEL Adaptive Secure Endpoint Platform™. Adistec becomes IGEL's new distribution partner for Latin America, marking the vendor's entry into the regional market.

Through the agreement, Adistec will support resellers, system integrators, and technology service providers with technical enablement, training, business development, and go-to-market resources. The partnership expands access to IGEL across the region and helps channel partners build expertise and create new customer opportunities.

The announcement comes as organizations across Latin America face continued pressure to secure how users and devices access enterprise resources. According to IBM's 2026 X-Force Threat Intelligence Index, the leading initial-access vectors observed in the region included valid accounts, exploitation of public-facing applications, software supply-chain attacks, and abuse of external remote services, each accounting for 25% of observed cases. Industry analysts are responding in kind: Gartner has recommended that CISOs move toward a Workspace Immutable Secure Endpoint (WISE) model, and Forrester's 2027 budget planning guidance recommends evaluating secure desktop operating systems in higher-risk environments.
